The kick-off meeting took place at the Geoforschungszentrum Potsdam from September 28-29, 2023. All four joint projects (ThinIce, SQUEEZE, GreenHAB, YESS) funded as part of the BMBF funding priority “Polar Regions in Transition – Influence of Global and Regional Stressors” presented their respective research projects in short presentations. Subsequently, possibilities for cooperation and the transfer of results were discussed. The particular importance of stakeholder dialog for the exploitation of research results on the polar region was addressed in a discussion round.
